
Policies
PAYMENTS: booking is not official until a payment has been made with a signed contract. The final balance is due 30 days prior to check in. If any payment is not received, DC ASANTE LLC reserves the right to cancel the reservation. Once any payment made it becomes non-refundable. The CONTRACT TENANT listed is financially responsible rooms listed on this reservation. Rooms can be added but not removed from reservation. If CONTRACT TENANT wishes to cancel the reservation, an email must be sent requesting for the reservation to be cancelled. If an email is not sent prior to a payment due date listed on the contract, CONTACT TENANT is responsible for payment due. DC ASANTE, LLC reserves the right to ask for a damage deposit of $2,000 is due seven (7) days prior to date of reservation. The damage deposit will be returned within fourteen (14) days after event, minus any charges for damage or extra costs that were not arranged/paid in advance. A 3% surcharge will be added for any reservation paid by credit card.
CHECK-IN: Check-in time is 3pm. Early check-ins are subject to additional charges.
CHECK-OUT: Check-out time is 11 AM. Late check-outs are subject to additional charges. If staff must wait to begin cleaning due to an unauthorized check out a fee of $100 per half hour will be charged.
KEYS: When checking out, please follow check out instructions provided. Replacement keys are $50.
GATE CODE: Code is for lodging guests only! The week of check in you will receive an email with gate code. Upon leaving Asante property you do NOT need to enter the code; gate will open automatically.
PETS: NO PETS ALLOWED! We have a strict no pet policy to protect our Wildlife. If found with a pet on premises, you will be asked to leave, you will not be refunded, and a pet fee will be charged.
GENERAL: Asante doesn’t offer cleaning services during your stay. Restock only occurs if you are staying for an extended period. DC ASANTE reserves the right to change, adjust, cancel, or add to any contract at any time. NO walking past the fence next to Machan Treehouse. Fireworks of any kind are not permitted.
GUEST LISTS: Only guests on the guest list are allowed on Asante property. No additional guests are allowed on property, unless approved by Asante staff. Anyone not on the guest list may be asked to leave the property. CONTRACT TENANT is responsible for keeping list up to date. Additional charges may apply.
SMOKING: All our rooms are non-smoking. Smoking permitted outside if disposed of properly. Charges will apply if extra cleaning is needed due to smoke.
TRASH: All trash must be placed into trash bags and placed in bins near lodging homes. The bins are not emptied until after check out. There is a large dumpster behind La Aldea, it is emptied by our trash collection company early on Thursdays. DO NOT BLOCK THE DUMPSTER or you will be charged a $150 fee.
TOURS: We are not currently offering Wildlife Tours.
FIRE PITS: Tenants and guests are not allowed to light a fire in the Nyumba fireplace. Please let staff know you wish to use the gas fire pits. There may service charge for fire pits. Asante does not allow fire pit usage during (June-Sept), burn bans, storms, or when excessive winds are present. If a fire pit is lit without Asante staff or Asante permission a fine will be charged.
NOISE CURFEW: We ask that all guests respect our noise curfew and turn down any loud music or other disturbances at 10pm.
GATHERINGS/EVENTS: Additional charges apply for events, parties, gatherings. Rates vary. Please contact us for more details. This includes after wedding gatherings, visitors stopping by, family dinners, etc. Not making Asante staff aware PRIOR to check in will result in fees.
PARKING: Additional charges for buses, or other large commercial vehicles may apply. ANY outside transportation must be pre-approved. Transportation vehicles over 37 persons are NOT ALLOWEED.
POOL: If the Nyumba house is rented, then the pool is only for the Nyumba house guests. The pool is only for community use when the Nyumba House is not rented, ask staff for more info. No glass containers in pool area. We cannot guarantee pool or hot tub use during your stay. Pool toys and cleaning equipment are left for guest use, please put back all items after each use. Pool is professionally cleaned on Friday and it may impact your swim time.
GUEST PROPERTY: Asante is not responsible for guest property. Items left by guests can be returned at guest’s expense. Guests have 30 days to claim items.
VENDORS: 30 days prior to check in, lead guest MUST call and provide all information for any vendors coming on property. Examples include but are not limited to; hair & make-up, transportation, catering, or food drop off, massage therapist, etc.
OCCUPANCY: Each lodging room/house has a max occupancy (please see room assignment chart), if max occupancy is surpassed fees will apply. Contract tenant is responsible for the filling of reservation, if a room is not used there is no refund.
